Your Child Doesn't Want To Play- And That's A Good Thing.

Your Child doesn’t want to Play And that’s a good thing

More often than not, you will see that your child is switching toys. And isn’t that something that every parent complaints about, “ he doesn’t settle for any toy”, “she throws away her toys - like in 2 days”.

Wouldn’t it will be wonderful if parents truly can understand what there young ones are going through. Whats actually going inside that NOT-SO-TINY brain of their’s. We mostly underestimate the child’s intelligence all the time.

What happens when your one year old child picks up a toy?

It’s a question that every parent should ask themselves. Try to find an answer to, and get that answer by observing innumerous times.

According to lot of researchers including Glenn Doman A child, or for that matter any person learns through basic 5 senses only. They are TOUCH,SMELL,TASTE,SIGHT and HEARING. Leonardo da vinci, Thomas Edison, You and Me, we al have learnt through these senses. So when your child picks up a Toy, he likes to Put it in his mouth , and thats why toys are made up of good quality plastic, Your Child Brings that toy close to his Nose and try to find out the smell of the toy. Child learns about the toy by the way it looks, and thus toys are mostly colourful. In fact very Colourful. They have a responsibility to catch the child’s attention. Child holds the toy in his hands, moves it from one to another, sometimes try to break it, and fix it too. And thus toys are not suppose to have sharp edges. And then he squeezes it, and on this gesture a lot of toys make sounds. Child correlates the intensity of the pressure and the intensity of the sound that comes out of the toy. He learns, And then he learns some more.

HE IS NOT PLAYING WITH THE TOY, HE IS LEARNING.

Once your child has learnt what he needed to learn from that source (toy) he wants to move to the next one, He is now no longer interested in the toy, he wants a new one. He wants anything new. And with this activeness of a child which everyone of us have seen, we at Intelligentsia realised that children are really fast learners. And mostly its the parents that slows the whole process down.

So next time when your child is not settling for a toy after two days and is demanding a change,Evaluate it, Before you judge the need to dismiss the demand.
